Traditionally Farmed
The Althams Quality Assured products range reflects a history of which it is justly proud supplying naturally reared and traditionally prepared farm assured meat from local areas within a 70 mile radius of our factory.
Such regions as the Lake District, the Eden Valley, the Lune Valley, the Trough of Bowland and the Ribble Valley stretching to the edge of the Dales are not only acknowledged for their outstanding beauty but are recognized by farmers, butchers, chefs and food lovers from around the world for their natural products and producing food of the highest standards.
Farm Assurance
These products are naturally reared on farms operating schemes to the EBLEX quality standard mark, including FABBL. Only suppliers or farms that are personally inspected by James or Richard Altham may carry the AQA mark. The poultry is certified to Assured Chicken Production (ACP) standards.
Prepared Traditionally
AQA products are matured on the bone in a traditional manner, where applicable, and then prepared by our team of specialist butchers.
